La Plagne, together with Les Arcs, forms the Paradiski ski area, which offers varied pistes for all abilities. La Plagne has many tree runs which are great in poor visibility. It is also a great choice for families as children are well catered for.
La Plagne centre is the focal point of the resort with many shops and restaurants. You will also find the medical centre and the main pharmacy here.
Belle Plagne was built in the 1980s in a much more pleasant chalet style and it is a lively resort with many restaurants and bars, some of which have live music.
La Plagne 1800 was originally an old mining village and some of the traditional wooden chalets can still be seen there. The whole resort is easy on the eye with its Alpine chalet style. Après ski activity might be a bit more limited here but there is a great shuttle service between the villages.
Aime La Plagne is at an altitude of 2100 metres and it’s the highest one out of the villages. Whilst in La Plagne, you have to have a go on the bobsleigh track which was used in the 1992 winter olympics.
