Istanbul Ataturk airport is just outside the city of Istanbul and it is the main international airport serving the city. Istanbul Ataturk is also Turkey`s busiest airport with an average of 45 million passengers.
The airport is named after Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the first president and the founder of the Republic of Turkey.
There are 4 Terminals, T1 for domestic, T2 for international flights, T3 for cargo and the General Aviation Terminal. The new international terminal was finished in 2000 and it has all the modern features you would expect.
